Each challenge sets the forest up differently, and the player has to work out how to slide the path pieces so Red can reach Grandma without running into the wolf. There's exactly one solution every time, which is what makes it a logic puzzle rather than a toy.

The Deluxe edition comes with a proper 3D board and chunky character pieces for Red, Grandma, the Wolf and the Woodcutter. Challenges run from Starter to Expert, so it keeps working for a couple of years rather than a couple of weeks. Ages 4 and up, single player.
