Oink Games: Insider

Twenty questions, except one of you already knows the answer.

The group has to guess a secret word by asking yes-or-no questions of the Master. Straightforward enough — until you learn that one player, the Insider, was shown the word at the start and has been quietly steering the questions toward it the whole time.

So you win the first half by guessing the word, then immediately have to work out who made it too easy. That second phase is the game: re-reading the last five minutes of conversation and deciding who was helping a little too effectively. It runs in a quarter of an hour and works best when nobody trusts anybody.

Perfect for: Groups who like social deduction but do not want to lose a whole evening to it.
