Santa Cookie Elf Candy Snowman

Five words, one card game, and a great deal of shouting.

The title is the game: Santa, cookie, elf, candy, snowman, in that order, said out loud as you flip cards. Match the word to the picture and you grab. Get it wrong and you lose what you have taken. It is a reaction game in the tradition of Snap and Jungle Speed, dressed for December.

Fifteen minutes, six players, no reading required beyond the five words, and small children beat adults at it with humiliating consistency because they are not overthinking it. Comes out in November, stays out until January, and costs less than a bad bottle of wine.

Perfect for: Christmas Day, after lunch, before anyone is allowed to fall asleep.
