Ringer
A card game with one die in it, which turns out to be exactly one die too many for anyone's peace of mind.
MindWare build games for the family shelf rather than the hobby shelf, and Ringer is squarely that: quick to teach, quick to play, and light enough that a mixed-age table stays interested. A hundred and five cards, one die, five reference cards, and a rulebook you will read once.
The die is what stops it settling into a solved pattern. Card play gives you the plan; the roll decides how much of it survives. Two to five players, twenty minutes or so, and it travels well because the whole thing is cards and a die in a small box.
Perfect for: The gap between dinner and everybody drifting off to look at their phones.
