Riftbound: League of Legends TCG – Showdown Deck: Zed vs Shen

Raised as brothers, trained by the same order, and now only one of them still answers to it.

Shen and Zed were the Kinkou Order's two most promising students in Ionia. Zed broke away, took acolytes of his own, seized the temple and killed Shen's father. Shen took up his father's spirit blade and the title Eye of Twilight, and leads the order Zed abandoned. This box puts the two of them across a table from one another, which is roughly where League of Legends has left them for years.

Released 31 July 2026 alongside Riftbound's fourth set, Vendetta. Inside are two complete 56-card preconstructed decks — 112 cards — plus two full-size paper playmats, two foldable deckboxes, two Vendetta booster packs for customising, and a rules and deckbuilding guide. Both decks are ready to play out of the box and are legal in Standard Constructed as at August 2026.

The two are not equally difficult. Riftbound's game director has said Shen is the friendlier of the pair and the better choice for a first game — it wants to conquer and hold Battlefields, and rewards you for keeping exactly two units at one. Zed asks considerably more: discard and banish effects, Shadow Clone tokens, and a Burn mechanic that dumps cards from your deck into the trash. Give a new player Shen.

If you have not played before: you build around a Champion Legend, which sets your strategy and which colours you may use. Battlefields are contested locations — you take one for a point, and earn another each turn you hold it. First to eight points wins.
