Rhymes with Duck

Everyone writes a rhyme. The points come from matching, not from being clever.

A word card gets read out, and everybody secretly writes down something that rhymes with it. Reveal together — match with exactly one other person and you both score three. Match with the crowd and you score one. Match with nobody and you get a penalty letter.

The trick is aiming for the obvious-but-not-too-obvious answer, which is a much harder target than it sounds. Four to eight players, about thirty minutes, first to twenty wins.

Perfect for: big tables, word game people, and finding out your brain works nothing like your partner's.
