Poorly Explained Movies
A goose suddenly dies and everybody gets really depressed. That is Top Gun, apparently.
The premise is your mother trying to describe a film she watched last Tuesday. Every card carries a plot summary that is technically accurate and completely useless - the details are all there, in the wrong order, with the important bits left out and the goose given top billing. Three hundred of them, in a small box that fits in the sort of bag you take to someone else's house.
Teams race to name the film from the description, and the whole thing hangs on how badly the summaries are written, which is to say very well. There are two sets of rules in the box, competitive and casual, and the casual one is the better game: everybody shouting at once, nobody keeping score. Plays with two to eight, works best with more, and takes as long as you let it.
Perfect for: Anyone who has ever described a film to someone else and watched their face slowly go blank.
