Wizards went to the comics for this one rather than the films. The set is built around the Avengers and the people who orbit them — Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, Spider-Man, the Hulk, Black Panther, the Human Torch — with Kang the Conqueror and Doctor Doom on the far side of a heroes-and-villains axis that runs through the whole design. The X-Men are absent as a team, though individual members with Avengers history are not. Earlier Marvel crossovers were given in-universe substitutes on Arena rather than the real characters; that approach has been abandoned, and these cards now carry the actual names and branding wherever you play them.

Released 26 June 2026, and Standard legal despite being a Universes Beyond set. Power-up is an activated ability that costs less if the permanent arrived this turn, and works only once. Teamwork lets you tap creatures with a combined power of at least a given number as an optional additional cost on instants and sorceries, which is a genuine nuisance to play around. Plan is a new enchantment subtype that gathers counters as you take particular actions, then sacrifices itself for a payoff. Connive and prowess return.

Two treatments worth knowing about: scene cards have art that tiles together into one larger picture across anywhere from four to eighteen cards, and roughly one booster in twenty-four holds a Marvel source material card — a reprinted Magic card using genuine comic artwork, some of it by Jack Kirby and Alex Ross.

Each Play Booster holds 14 cards: at least one rare or mythic rare, at least one traditional foil of any rarity, and one land, plus a token or helper card on top.
