You may use any building in the port. You will simply pay its owner for the privilege.

The port of Le Havre, and you are the one building it: taking deliveries off the quayside, upgrading raw goods into something worth selling, putting up buildings and launching ships to feed the people doing the work. Uwe Rosenberg designed it for Lookout Games, and it sits a shade heavier than his Agricola.

A turn is two steps. First you push the newly supplied goods out onto the offer spaces; then you take exactly one action — either sweeping up every good of a single type from an offer space, or using one of the buildings. The buildings are where it bites, because they are investment and income at once: use one you do not own and you pay its owner an entry fee. Ships mostly exist to produce food. Every seventh turn the round closes, the harvest multiplies your cattle and grain, and your workers want feeding whether or not you had planned for it.
