Kinfire Delve: Scorn's Stockade

A dungeon in a box roughly the size of a paperback.

A standalone card and dice game from Incredible Dream Studios, set in the Kinfire world but requiring nothing else from it. One or two players descend into Scorn's Stockade, fighting illusions on the way down and hoping to come back up again. Everything is cards and dice — no board, no miniatures, no setup ritual — which is a good deal of the appeal.

It runs an hour or less and is built to be replayed rather than completed once. If you already own another Kinfire Delve box the two can be combined for up to four players, but on its own this is a complete game rather than a piece of one. Rated fourteen and up, which is about the difficulty rather than anything alarming.

Perfect for: The person who wants a dungeon crawl on a weeknight and has neither the table space nor the patience for the version with a hundred plastic skeletons.
