A set of upgraded wooden tokens replacing the punchboard components in Fromage. Nothing about the game changes — the rules are identical, the balance is identical, and anybody watching would struggle to tell which version you owned until they picked a piece up.

What changes is everything around the game. Setup is faster because wood separates cleanly and cardboard doesn't. The table looks better. And the small tactile business of moving pieces around, which you'll do several hundred times over the life of the box, becomes quietly satisfying instead of quietly annoying. This is an entirely unnecessary purchase and everyone who makes it is glad they did.
