Rugby league, dealt out in cards, for the ones who are still too small to watch a whole game.

The NRL entry in the Australian-made Footy Feud series, in the Rookie format — the simplest of the three, built so a young supporter can play properly rather than being helped along. Fast, cheap, and covering the clubs they already have an opinion about.

Five minutes to learn and about fifteen to play, two to six players. It is the sort of thing that lives in a car door or a school bag rather than on a shelf, which is exactly the point.

Perfect for: a seven-year-old who has strong views about a team they have never seen play live.
