Dungeons & Dragons Reference Cards: Magic Items Rare and Very Rare
225 cards of things your players are not supposed to have yet.
Rare and very rare magic items from the 2024 rules — the largest of the eight reference decks at 225 cards, which is a reasonable indication of how much text sits behind an item at this tier. These are hoard contents and campaign rewards, the sort of thing handed over at the end of a long arc and then misremembered for the next twenty sessions.
The value here is as much for the Dungeon Master as the player. Seeding a hoard becomes a matter of dealing cards rather than cross-referencing tables, and once an item is in a player's hand its attunement rules, charges and recharge conditions stop being something you have to adjudicate from memory at eleven at night.
Perfect for: The Dungeon Master planning a treasure hoard who would rather not spend the evening before the session with three tabs open.
