Dragoon

Four dragons, one island, and villages that keep rebuilding themselves in the wrong places.

An action strategy game for two to four players in which everyone is a dragon competing over an ever-changing landscape. The board does not sit still — the map shifts as the game runs, which is the point, and Lay Waste built the whole design around that rather than bolting it on.

It came out of a Kickstarter campaign with additional backing through the Harvard Innovation Lab, which is an unusual sentence to write about a game with this much gold and fire in it.

Perfect for: Groups who want direct conflict without a war game's rulebook.
