Dead Therapist
The sessions were going so well, right up until you found them face down on the rug.
Your therapist is dead, their office is exactly as they left it, and everything you need to work out who did it is sitting in the files, the correspondence and the appointment book in front of you. The other patients all had something they'd rather you didn't read. One of them had rather more than that.
The rules overhead is almost nil, which is deliberate — there's nothing between you and the material. You read, you cross-reference, you decode what's been hidden in the documents, and you narrow it down. It runs to a single evening and works just as well with two people leaning over a coffee table as with six arguing across a dining table.
Please note: this is a single-use experience. Once it's solved it's solved — though it passes on very happily to the next household, and usually does.
Perfect for: Escape room regulars, and couples who have run out of things to do on a Saturday night that don't involve a streaming service and a shared sigh.
