You are retracing Charles Darwin's voyage through the Galápagos — the journey that fed his theory of evolution — learning to pick hidden species out of the tropical forest and gathering repertoires to send home. Simone Luciani and Nestore Mangone designed it for ThunderGryph Games, and the production leans hard, and successfully, into the naturalist's-notebook look.

It is a worker-placement euro with one idea running underneath everything else: your workers progress. Each has to study the disciplines an action requires before it is allowed to perform it, so exploration, correspondence, gathering and dispatching your finds to the museums all sit behind a training bottleneck you have to fund yourself. Five rounds, a stack of short- and long-term objectives, and no version of this game in which you get to everything.

Perfect for: Anyone who has completed a training course purely to be permitted to keep doing the job they were already doing.
