Connect 4 Frenzy

Connect 4, but everybody plays at the same time and nobody waits for anybody.

The original Connect 4 has a structural problem: it is two players taking turns, so half the table is watching. Frenzy solves it by removing turns entirely. Players bounce discs off the table into the grid simultaneously, and the grid fills in whatever order the physics allows.

Because discs can land in slots somebody else was aiming for, the game is as much about denial as construction. Four ways to play are included: standard four in a row, corners only, centre only, and a calmer turn-based version for when it has all become too much. Two to six players, ages 8 and up, and rounds are over in a couple of minutes.
