Catan (6th Edition) - 5-6 Player Extension

Because the two people who did not get a seat are still standing there.

The 5-6 player extension adds the extra terrain hexes, frames, resource cards and pieces needed to open Catan up to six. It also changes the rhythm: with six players there is a special build phase at the end of each turn, so you are not sat doing nothing while five other people trade.

Worth being honest that a six-player Catan is a longer and more chaotic game than a four-player one. More competition for the same rolls, more trading, more people to block you. If that sounds like your table it is the obvious purchase; if your group is usually three or four, leave it.

Requires the Catan (6th Edition) base game to play.

Perfect for: Big family Christmases, where excluding someone is not an option.
