An 18 inch backgammon case finished in embossed black alligator-pattern vinyl. It's unapologetically theatrical — the sort of set that belongs in a room with a decanter in it — and the texture does something practical too, giving the case grip so it doesn't slide off a coffee table mid-game.

Eighteen inches is the full size, so the points are long enough to take a proper stack of checkers and the dice have somewhere to land. Board, checkers, dice and doubling cube all included, everything storing inside the case when it's shut. For a set with this much presence it's remarkably reasonable, which is generally where the alligator finish gives itself away — no actual alligators were inconvenienced.
