Awkward Guests 2: The Berwick Cases

One Berwick twin has been murdered. You are also arranging the murder of the other.

The sequel takes the Awkward Guests deduction engine and builds it for exactly two players, or two teams, which is where the first game was always weakest. Both Berwick sisters die, in separate cases, and you play each one from the opposite side of the table. In one you are the mastermind, assembling how the killing happened. In the other you are the investigator, trying to take someone else's construction apart.

That symmetry is the whole design. Knowing precisely how you built your own murder tells you an uncomfortable amount about how your opponent is likely to have built theirs, and the game is happy to let that confidence run you into a wall. Dice have been folded in alongside the card play, which loosens the pure logic of the original — a change some will like and some will not. Same three questions to answer: who killed her, how, and why. First to get all three takes it.
