This Game Is Killer: Frozen Horror
Trapped in the Arctic with a shape-shifting monster, which is at this moment holding cards and looking innocent.
Ivan Turner and Gaeton Dragone's second entry in the This Game Is Killer line, and the setting does the work: an isolated research station, a thing that can look like anyone, and a group who all have very good reasons to be suspicious of each other. If the reference is not obvious enough, the box art will settle it.
Rounds run ten to fifteen minutes, which is the whole design philosophy — short enough that a wrong accusation costs you a few minutes rather than an evening, so people accuse freely and the table stays loud. Scales to ten, teaches in a minute, and works as a warm-up or a closer rather than a main event.
Perfect for: a group that likes Werewolf but has grown tired of being dead for twenty minutes.
4–10 players | 10–15 minutes
