The Perfect Wave puts you in the line-up trying to catch the right swell at the right moment. Position matters, timing matters more, and the wave that looked promising three turns ago is now breaking somewhere you are not. It is a handsome production with an unusual subject — there are not many surfing board games, and fewer good ones.

The core tension is commitment. Paddling out to where the big wave might form means giving up a smaller certain one, and everyone else is reading the same water. Family weight rather than gateway, so there is a real decision every turn without needing a rules lawyer at the table.
