Sleeping Queens (Hang-Sell Edition)
Twelve queens are asleep and the kings are not going to wake themselves.
Miranda Evarts was six years old when she invented this, which is the single best fact in the children's games category and also explains why it works - the rules are exactly the rules a six-year-old would want, and no committee has since sanded them down. Play a king to wake a queen, play a knight to steal somebody else's, and try to stop the dragons doing the same to you.
The addition is a light bit of arithmetic: you can discard sets that add up, which slips sums into the game without anybody noticing it is happening. This is the hang-sell version - same game, slimmer packaging built for a peg rather than a shelf, and cheaper for it. Two to five players over about twenty minutes.
Please note: The hang-sell format. Same cards, smaller package than the standard box we also stock.
Perfect for: The eight-year-old who has worked out that the maths bit is how you actually win.
