Panini's Premium collection for Hello Kitty and Friends, which runs to 209 cards — 100 rainbow base cards plus 109 that are harder to get. The special tier is where the money and the misery live: 50 sparkling cards, 39 rare wave cards in glitter or the scarcer golden glitter, and 20 ultra-rare iridescent transparents. Kuromi, My Melody, Cinnamoroll and the rest all appear, and the art is the current Sanrio house style rather than anything retro.

This is the Premium line, not the standard Hello Kitty collection, which matters if you are chasing a specific set — the card stock is heavier and the finishes are the point of the exercise. Twenty transparent cards in a 209 card set is a properly thin pull rate, so treat the ultra-rares as something that happens to other people and be pleasantly surprised.
