Pandemic Legacy Season 0
1962. The disease is a cover story.
Rob Daviau and Matt Leacock's Cold War prequel, and a standalone — you do not need Season 1 or Season 2 to play it. You are CIA operatives working under medical cover across Europe and Asia, identifying Soviet agents and unpicking a bioweapons programme before it finishes. Twelve months of connected games, and the box changes permanently as you go through them.
The Pandemic skeleton is intact — hand management, shared actions, a track that punishes anything you neglect — but the cubes are agents rather than disease and the objective is intelligence rather than cures. Choices persist between sessions: characters pick up scars, the board gets stickered, and some cards do not survive the evening. Sessions run 45 to 60 minutes, and a full campaign is twelve to twenty-four of them.
Perfect for: A group of exactly the same four people, reliably available for the next three months. No substitutes, no stand-ins.
2–4 players | 45–60 minutes per game | Age 14+
