An engine-building game where the engine is people, and the people keep dying.

Donald X. Vaccarino invented deck-building with Dominion and has spent the twenty years since taking the idea apart to see what else it can do. This is the unkind version. You are running a colony on the moon, your colonists are a resource, and the shared deck that everybody is building together is full of things that will kill them. Not your deck. Everybody's deck. That is the joke and it is a very good one.

It is a tableau engine-builder that also runs in reverse - you spend the game constructing something productive while the event deck dismantles it around you. The game ends when one colony runs out of people or the deck runs out of events, and the winner is whoever has the most survivors left, which is a scoring condition that tells you everything about the tone. One to five players, and the solo mode is not an afterthought.

Perfect for: Anyone who has built a beautiful engine in a euro game and privately wished somebody would come along and break it.

1-5 players | 45-90 minutes | Age 14+
