Monopoly Junior: Bluey Edition brings Australia's most beloved animated family to the world's most beloved property trading game — and shrinks both down to a size that actually works for young kids. If you have a child in the five-to-eight-year-old range who is obsessed with Bluey (and statistically, you do), this game is going to get played a lot.

How it works

Players move around a Bluey-themed board buying and selling properties from locations that fans will immediately recognise — Bingo's Kindy, Hammerbarn, Big Peanut, Bluey's School, Uncle Stripe's Pool, and more. Instead of dollars, players collect dollarbucks. Instead of complex property management, players simply mark their properties and collect rent when opponents land on them. The player with the most dollarbucks at the end of the game wins.

Why it works for little ones

Monopoly Junior is designed as a genuine introduction to the Monopoly concept — property ownership, collecting rent, counting money — but stripped of the complexity that makes the full game overwhelming for young children. The Bluey theme does a lot of work here too: kids who are already emotionally invested in the characters are more engaged, more patient, and more likely to see the game through to the end.
