The Lunar Module was built to work in a vacuum and nowhere else, which is why it looks like a spider assembled from kitchen foil and spare panels. No aerodynamics, no paint it did not need, no concession to appearance whatsoever. Twelve people rode one down to the surface and back, and its engine had exactly one chance to start. Every awkward angle on this model is on the real thing for a reason.

Metal Earth kits are two flat sheets of laser-cut stainless steel. You punch out the parts, fold them, and twist the tabs through their slots to hold everything together. No glue, no solder, no paint, no filler. A pair of tweezers and needle-nose pliers is the difference between a pleasant evening and a fight, so bring both. The finished model is bare steel and sits on a small stand.
