The Deck Shell is Dragon Shield's straightforward one: a hinged clamshell that holds a full sleeved 75-card deck, shuts properly, and survives being thrown into a bag with everything else. No magnetic closure, no dice tray, no leatherette, no compartment for tokens you were never going to use.

What it does have is the same plastic and the same hinge engineering as the expensive boxes in the range, which is the part that actually matters — cheap deck boxes fail at the hinge within a couple of months of daily use. The colours match the Matte sleeve range, so a deck and its box can be the same colour if that's the sort of thing that pleases you. It pleases more people than admit it.

Perfect for: Second and third decks, commander decks in rotation, and anyone who has worked out that a $60 deck box is a slightly strange purchase.
