Donut Shop
You are new at the bakery and nobody has told you how the display case is supposed to work.
A tile game about arranging donuts in a cabinet and then boxing them up when a customer asks for six of something. The premise is thin and the game underneath it is not: every tile you add scores for how it sits against what is already there, so the case fills up into a thing you are simultaneously proud of and desperate to dismantle for an order.
That is the tension the whole design runs on. Boxing a group earns money and clears space, but it also breaks the arrangement you spent three turns building. Twenty to forty minutes at two to four players, rated 8+, and light enough that you can explain it while shuffling. 25th Century Games put it out and the component quality is well above what the price suggests.
Perfect for: Anyone who rearranges the dishwasher after somebody else has loaded it.
