Nobody speaks. For ninety minutes, nobody speaks at all.

Spenser Starke's roleplaying game about a missing high-school girl is played entirely over text message. You sit in the same room as the other players, you put your phones in a group chat, and then you stay silent for the whole session while the story happens in writing. It sounds like a gimmick for about four minutes and then it stops being one - the silence does something to the room that no amount of good description could.

Everyone plays somebody with a prior relationship to Alice Briarwood and to each other, and the cards feed in clues, suspects and locations as the ninety minutes run down. There is no GM. It is a one-sitting game and it ends when the clock does, which is the design working rather than a limitation. Three to five players.

Please note: Every player needs a phone and the group needs a shared text thread. Deals with a missing teenager and is written for adults and older teens.

Perfect for: A group who claim they are no good at roleplaying because they cannot do voices.

3-5 players | 90 minutes, one sitting | No GM | Played by text
